Morning found the OFM sluggish and sore so we got two Tylenol into him in hopes he could still get out and walk. Well he did get out and the normal hour walk lasted three and a half hours due to all the folks on the trails to visit today. With a view like this right at the first of the walking path chosen we should have expected a longer time.
This weather has been really great since Hurricane Ian passed well east of us.
Down a path a bit we saw this vegetation with WOW large leaves. The OFM opened his hand in front of the leaf to show how large the leaf is. His hand is actually touching the leaf. What is the plant? We have no idea but here it is.
In the last couple of days we have been getting so fall color changing on many leaves. Here is a close up of one set of color. We hope to get some nice major foliage changes before all the leaves hit the ground.
Today is one week until the doctor appointment to start working toward fixing the OFM eyes. We know two cataract surgeries will be required but next Wednesday we should find out how much other hacking and stitching will be required for the OFM to get at least most of his sight back.
We found out last night that the color pencil painting is definitely bothered by the eye injuries when we took on this bookmark effort.
But we had to try and it was a good way of trying to have tooooo much fun.
I must have lost a few months somewhere since your nice art is dated 2023!! Glad you had a good day, whatever the year.
