Basket of Joy

We got an early start on the walk this morning about 0820. We found the air temp decent for the first half of the walk. And when we neared Flint Creek we got a bit of a breeze and here is what a breeze looks like.

That's right no nice reflections but the cooling was wonderful.

The final tally was 2.5 miles in four minutes under an hour. That is pretty good for summer times.

A good time of cooling for the OFM when we got back to the Castle and then a wonderful shower that still feels great late in the evening.

A few bills were due to be paid and we got that done electronically so now the calendar is clear of bills except for rent until next month. Rent is due on the 15^th of each month.

Some time during the afternoon it was meal prep time. The local Walmart recently had some almost out of date pork chops marked down. We grabbed a pack of 6 and repackage them into bags of 2 and froze them. After a glance in the fridge and seeing the bag of salad mix waiting we decided we will set things up for a cubed pork chop salad or two. They are wonderful lunch or supper meals.

After thawing them and them cubing them in half inch cubes we went to work microwaving them. They microwave very well. There were two chops and that gives us enough for two nice salads. The OFM is a major fan of that kind of salad. Here it is after cooking and waiting for the salad time soon.

Several of the long term campers here are swapping sites this evening, so the OFM meandered around being an interested observer to all the big doings. We were glad to not be part of that bunch of work.
