It has been a long day of conflicting information. On the walk this morning it was bright sun and gentle winds. Then about an hour into the walk it clouded over with a hint of sprinkles. The rest of the day was a mix of weather types. Helene was already north east of us by noon instead of waiting until the original estimate of near 1500. We have no real idea of what will happen next so we will just wait and see what happens next.
As far as the rest of the day, nothing special happened. The rigs that evacuated yesterday all returned during the day today but we did not get to talk to any of those folks.
And it is now 2010 on the kitchen clock and it is raining gently and fairly cool outside. We are sorry to not have anything decent to write about but at least we are glad to NOT be writing about hurricane debris being scattered all over.
