The OFM Adventure Teams are pooped tonight from all the excitement, but we did have to tell you about a really neat happening during our walk this morning. After a busy morning including grocery shopping and other necessary evils, The OFM decided he needed a break so we headed for the Rockport Community Park Trails to see how the rebuild from Hurricane Harvey had gone.
It has been a rousing success which you will get to see soon. But the real excitement happened as we walked the trail taking about a hundred pictures of the vegetation in bloom and the new/refurbished things in the park.
So there the OFM is walking along the trail doing his usual Granny J “look at everything” effort. As he glanced down a wide trail through the trees something flashed at him. Then there was several flashes. .....?? Then another flash. Some flashes were white and some were silver. Here is the entrance to the trail where the OFM was amazed and could not at first figure out what was going on.
A few more flashes and some movement really glued us to the spot. Then the sun changed or something moved and the next flash was from the wings of a bird flitting through all the tree limbs. As we all watched in astonishment, more birds flew through the trail opening sometimes flashing silver and sometimes white in random sequences. As the birds twisted and turned through the tree limbs the flashes change colors. It was a great sight to see and nope no pictures came out at all.
This first time event for the OFM Teams made it a special day of trying to have tooooo much fun.
