Nice walk today with bright sun and cool temps. Friendly folks on the trails. And one nice young lady that we met when she was shooting pictures of turtles. The OFM ask if she had a blog but she is just in the beginnings and we talked about blogs and cameras for nearly a half hour. That was a wonderful time this morning.
The rain from yesterday had dropped enough water to cause the two main drainages from the campground to have a nice flow of water again. Both had been dry for a couple of weeks.
Back at the Castle we did some cabinet cleaning out of old reference books for western areas. They were all well over 10 years old and needed to be replaced if we ever go there again. A couple of them had serious travel notes we had made over the last 16 years of travel. Those notes are still with us and will be for a long time.
Then mid afternoon the OFM suddenly developed a low grade fever and heavy duty nasal drainage with headache to match. We worked with it about an hour and gave up and ate a pile of loratadine and acetaminophen . In a few minutes the OFM was doing well again. But now at 2000 the nose drizzle has started again. Always something isn't it.
In the meantime tomorrow is order Christmas presents day for the grand kids and their Mommy who is a fabulous mommy in my opinion.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
This is a great header photo....well, the rest are good ones too, but I really like that reddish tree. Hope you feel better tomorrow....
ReplyDeleteThank you. The trees are nearly leafless as of today.
