Christmas II

Adventure Location: Decatur, Al

Adventure Date: 01-01-2023

Today we had the pleasure of a Christmas presents delivery by the grand kids and family to the Castle. It was a really special event to the OFM. We had a wonderful visit and many laughs. The OFM had taken his gifts to them about a month ago before the covid mess hit them.

The present from Piper was a Christmas tree ornament she assembled. It is an attractive ornament and is now stored safely away for next year at Christmas time. Here is the OFM holding it up to admire it.

The yearly new family calendar was another great present we received.

As you can see the calendar has family pictures embedded in it for the whole year. It is a wonderful Christmas present that the OFM enjoys year round.

Another fantastic gift was a whole family gift of three special blends of tea, a new tea holder that goes in the hot water to seep the tea, It works very well we have found out already. AND a heavily insulated large drinking mug that keeps the fresh tea hot for a few hours so you can leisurely sip it. We will be using this tea system a lot we bet.

While they were here Piper noticed the 12 pound hand weights the OFM uses for his keeping his bad shoulder in working shape, so she just had to go out and try them out. She got them to work. She might need some weights since she is now on the regular gymnastics team for the school.

We are betting they will have a very full rest of the school year and we wish them the best of luck with their efforts.

As it works out it is also time for the OFM to get busy with making some definite plans for travel and executing them very soon. So tomorrow will be a busy day planning and scheduling some Texas reservations for the very near future. It seems like the campgrounds are running way fuller than in the recent past. We hope that does not get in the way of trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. Happy days indeed when you get to see family! You're looking pretty good for a man who has been through some tough times lately. For sure you will enjoy the gifts they brought you. Now. You have to come to Texas! Good luck with that. I will be looking at your route to see how close you come to me.

    1. Yep to Texas. After two months of trying I finally nailed a site at Goose Island SP near Rockport for in two weeks. Details will be in tomorrows blog. What area of Texas are you in now?
