The OFM was running around the camp all excited since the last restriction on us rolling had finally been cleared out this morning. Oh boy, it is get ready time!!!!

The tires were all carefully checked and rechecked. The traveling grocery resupply was being examined and a list made. Everything was looking really good to be rolling Thursday. He was excited.

Then about noon, Mother Nature said “ you ain't going nowhere fatboy.” She put a tropical storm named Nicholas right in our path for the first three days and flooding damages and residues in the way for the next day.

We pulled out a few years ago to out run a storm coming in like this one. Total failure comes to mind as a good description of that earlier stupid try. So nope we will extend here and wait for the storm to get out of the way and the flood waters to recede and damage/ trash get cleared from the roads and camping locations on the route.

But on the upside it may mean we get another chance at a grand kids day for trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. Ah yes. Nicholas. Well, as you say, you will have some more time with grandkids, and your toe might get a rest, if it IS your right toe, not sure you said. Anyway, your foot won't spend too much time on the accelerator for a few days. So...

    1. Yep right toe and it had nearly no sensitivity today. I must have hit something with it.

  3. Maybe a bit of extra rain fron Nick around here, which wouldn't be a bad thing, but we might also get brushed by the winds so we tucked all the loose stuff away this morning.
