The morning walk went well. When we got near the lake it was obvious the level was up a small amount. Down the trail a little ways we noticed the “lake level gage” off to our right.
When the errant picnic table end is about five inches above the water, then the lake is at design level. As you can see the water is a bit over the end of the table so the lake is a bit over full. We never got a decent picture of one, but there were several lily pads around that were about 2.5 to 3 feet in diameter. They were pretty but all of them were in an area where the sun reflected off the pad so brightly the pictures were all completely washed out. We will try again tomorrow.
A trip to Walmart was required today. Our food containers for the refrigerator have failed after only a couple of years. So we replaced them with the Rubbermaid brand that lasted us nearly twenty years before.
You know we have to properly store all the stoup so we can enjoy it whenever we want it.
Just for the fun of it we have started another painting from scratch using Neopastel II for the major part of the coloring. It is proving to be fun.
Now all we need to do is get busy trying to have tooooo much fun with the colors.
Did those big lily pads have a little rim around them? They sound like lotus....they will grow here, so I suspect where you are as well.
ReplyDeleteNo these laid flat on the water. I am familiar with the lotus pads and am sure they are not lotus pads.
DeleteStrange how many places have too much water while places that could use more water can't get any.
ReplyDeleteTupperware and Rubbermaid have the best containers.
The new painting looks like a great way of having tooooo much fun.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
