Cracked

The OFM got it going decently this morning before it got way too hot and we made 2.6 miles. As we neared the end of the trail portion next to the river we noticed this strange critter in the water. It was different than any critter we knew about. It looked mean enough we stayed away and went on about our business of walking in peace.

We were still thinking about the critter and looking it up when we got back to the Castle when we came across the warning sign about it. We were really glad we did not stick around for long.

Nice to know what it is now.

We had three very ferocious storms today. Lots of electrical sky scenes and rain. The first one started the flooding you see in this next pic.

The next two were worse and showed us leaks in the Castle. We got to caulk one before the next rain started. After the third storm we have not had more serious rain but the ditches are running full. Hopefully the caulk will cure enough to stay in the cracks and keep the water out. Tomorrow we will attempt to get to the second one which was the lesser of the two.

As we started to head out after the second storm, we noticed that the storm had cracked Sierra's windshield.

It has been a rough afternoon and evening in some ways, but the OFM is still breathing and planning escapades for trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. That title had me worried! A cracked windshield is not fun, but I could think of other cracks that would be way worse.
