Some Leaving Plans in the Works

Adventure Location: Decatur, Al

Today's Date: 12-07-2022

The OFM did a bit of getting ready for rolling but not much since we stay in a short notice mode for rolling.

For supper tonight we ate the last of the baked potato from Tuesday lunch and microwaved a a quarter pound beef patty right from frozen like the instructions said to do. It came out just right for the OFM. Between those two items and a cup of hot green tea we filled that fat tummy of his. We have been using those ready to eat patties for over a year now and are quite satisfied with them for easy meals. They usually come in three different fat content amounts, We always purchase the leanest model and never had trouble with the OFM, digestive system like when meat is too greasy for him.

We made a decision this morning to just pay for a week of rent here. Then when next week comes around we will have to choose something again. One month here costs the same as three weeks and two days normal rent. The catch right now is when will the new glasses get here and will the prescription be correct.

We have to wait until we get a clear leaving date before we get a reservation for Rockport Texas. There is no boondocking close to Rockport if we got there and nothing was available. This season is the peak season down there.

With all the continuous rain around here lately the OFM has not been getting in any walking or any other exercise and he can feel it. Painting pictures does not get aerobic no matter how hard you work at it. But for us it is a great way of trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. Eating Lean Patties while doing Paintings and waiting for your new Glasses sounds like a great way for having tooooo much fun.

  2. I have Decatur, AL on my weather app. I've begun to think you might need a boat to get around in, what with all the rain! Let's just hope those glasses are ready on time, and that the prescription is right. Hitting the road will lift your spirits.

    1. The river next to the campground is still 3 feet low. The rest of Decatur is pretty much high enough to drain to the river easily. Only the campground area seems to have flooding and that is in the summer when the river is held at a higher level for the barge traffic. And yes we have already had a lot of rain.
