The OFM decided he needed to get out of town so we took off to Sinton, Tx to check on the condition of Welder Park. It was pretty run down when we checked it last October.
The welcome surprise was wonderful. The park had been mowed and other maintenance things were well in hand. Now the OFM could take a golf club up there and find out if he can still hit a golf ball.
After meandering around for a bit the Teams headed back for Rockport and a bit of fishing.
We were rolling pleasantly down the road when just up ahead and headed our way was a familiar RV rig. Yep it was Rick headed west. It has been a year since we got to visit out at Falcon Lake. That put the travel want back into the OFM. But we soon noticed up ahead another familiar boon-dockers rig. Yes it was Terry that whizzed on past headed west also. NOW the OFM was really buzzed up. But we had a package due in next Friday to wait for. The rest of the trip back was nice for thinking about where and when to roll to for safe boon-docking.
Back at the Castle we brought up the computer to check for messages. Hmm what is this from Amazon? IT IS A MESSAGE SAYING THE PACKGE WILL BE HERE TOMORROW INSTEAD OF NEXT FRIDAY!
Oh boy now what to do. We checked weather and other things and decided we could be rolling on Tuesday. Now the excitement got really tense. It is about a 4.5 hour tow is all. An easy one day basically. Now (we thought) we have to get busy tomorrow and prep for rolling.
So the OFM took off to tell his friends that we were rolling Tuesday. Then we went down to the harbor to fish and calm down. Wouldn't you know it, the game warden walked through a few dozen folks to come over and check the OFM for a fishing license. Of course we had it and in good order. Then he walked back through the folks and left in his truck! We have no idea what was going through his mind if anything.
So now if the not well feeling is really the tree allergies we think it is, the package comes as claimed and nothing jumps up to bite us again, we hope to become road vagabonds again soon. And believe me that is a great way of trying to have tooooo much fun.
Being a road vagabond is a great way of having tooooo much fun.
