On the way back from a very busy morning of walking, visiting, starting to re-organize the Castle's cabinets and a trip to Walmart and a late lunch, we passed the golf course parking area and it was nearly unoccupied. So we got to the Castle unloaded Sierra and went back to see if the OFM could swing a golf club again.

A nice check-in and we headed for the line of carts to load our equipment. The OFM hesitated on renting a cart, but the rest of the Teams threatened him so he rented a cart. It turned out that was an excellent $7 spent. We planned on playing just 9 holes of golf so as to allow the OFM body some spare time to acclimate to exercise. By the time we finished the OFM joints and muscles were ready for rest. It looks like more exercise for golf club swinging in is order.

The good news is that the shoulder injury back in March 2020 seems to be nearly recovered. It may never be fully recovered but at least the OFM can swing a golf club full speed without extra pain popping up now.

So how did the golf go? It was a lot of fun. About half the shots went where they were supposed to. Most of the others were off a bit much but only two were off the planet bad. Here is the score card. The OFM has shot much worse than that when he had no excuse at all.

It was nice to be able to “get physical” again without lots of pain. Lack of serious pain made it a great afternoon of trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. Glad to see you had a good golfing day! (I took golf as a freshman in college. MWF at 8AM. Had to catch a ride to the golf course, so, well, sometimes I missed. Still, I enjoyed it. Oddly enough. Haven't done it since. I could drive, but I couldn't putt. I've been one-eyed since I was a kid, so I'll blame it on that.) Hope you don't have any residuals tomorrow with the shoulder!!

    1. My astigmatism gives me fits putting. Nothing is ever where it looks like it is.

    2. We use any excuses that we can. Ha. Here's a thought: When my friend had her cataract fixed, it also fixed her astigmatism. So if you havent had that sort of thing yet, there is still hope for your putting!!
