It was a pretty good day today. The OFM recovery seems to be moving on along. Good enough we got in a couple of miles again today.
As we began the part of the trail in the picnic area of the park we noticed a tree we had been passing for years. Today we noticed the old man face growing in the trunk. It is right next to the trail. It was a fun surprise to finally notice it.
The trail goes along Flint Creek and we just moseyed along enjoying the huge cumulus clouds in the sky decorating the beautiful blue skies everywhere.
This next bench is really popular when it is hot in this area. It gets you out of the HOT sunshine in the summer and has a nice view across Flint Creek to relax you.
This next bench is close to a good viewing area of where the Tennessee River joins Flint Creek. The bench sits all by itself in that big area a is frequently being used for reading or other quiet peaceful things. We like it for the sunshine in the cold weather.
That made for a very nice walk today and even a couple of nice conversations along the way. Now we have the chore of trying to have tooooo much fun tomorrow. Good night everyone.

It does seem to be a friendly tree.
DeleteDon't know if you have ever watched "The Game of Thrones", but that tree looks a little bit like the "Tree of Life" at Winterfell on that series.
