The OFM doesn't recall a lot about yesterdays details. He was getting ready to walk and his office chair viciously attacked him as he walked past it. The result was eye damage and a few minor bruises and strained muscles. The doctor and emergency bills should be interesting.

For now doing nothing but healing is our idea of trying to have toooooooooooo much fun.
I probably won't be the only one to point this out but you seem to be having some problems with balance, or you're losing a lot of fights. So either way you should probably hang up the roller-skates, give up your boxing hobby, and talk to a doctor about these falls.

Yep Doctor$$$$ involved in this one for sure. Be careful our there young man.
DeleteI agree with Tom. Perhaps look for a semi-permanent campsite near the grandkids for a few months to see how things shake out.
DeleteHi Darrell, You are correct and the campground is named Point Mallard and I have been coming here 13 years now.
DeleteThank you for taking the time, going to the trouble to let us know, Barney. So sorry. I did something simliar about two weeks ago. Was on a vacation road trip with my daughter. The sidewalk came up and hit me! I was left with the lens missing from my glasses---i think that maybe helped, though----and a terribly messed up right hand. The four stitches are now out from the joint on my middle finger, but will be awhile before all signs of the injury are gone. I hope that eye damage isn't terrible. Know that you have issues with your eyes already,
ReplyDeletePleae do your best to keep us updated. We care.
You have missed your chance - instead of an office chair, you could have called it an armed attack vehicle.
ReplyDeletetake care
the Ol'Buzzard
thank you. be safe.
ReplyDeleteTime to fire the chair. A nice cushy leather laden one is in order me thinks.
ReplyDeleteThe Castle is too small and simple for a large chair but it would be nice.
DeleteOk so how did the chair come out over all this? Still in one piece? Ha.
ReplyDeleteDid not even break a sweat whooping me
DeleteAll my best to you. That eye surround color would look good in a future art project. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteOh geez, Barney. The older we get, the harder we fall. Yes, time for some $$$ doctor. You've got VA and Medicare. So use a bit of it.
ReplyDeleteVA in Alabama will not treat me since my legal address is in Texas. VA has zones that they treat people from. On top of that I never have found someone happy with the Corpus Christi VA location treatments where I would have to go..
DeleteThe VA rules continue to astound me. OK then. Medicare time! I do hope you are not too sore all over and are getting by OK. Take care of yourself.
Deleteahhh Barney...one step forward...3 steps backward. So sorry you have to deal with this yet again. Perhaps wearing a football helmet in the castle:-) Lots of healing karma to you and especially that eye.
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie. I was thinking of a bike helmet.
DeleteYou may be right.
ReplyDeleteWere you mean to the chair recently?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, hope you bounce back, swiftly but gently.
Thank you very much.
DeleteWell I have had some self-induced injuries, more than I want to count. That is a whopper though. Glad you are okay. Not a doctor will not give medical advice but I will say hang in there and stay safe.
