Dark Marsh Area

Adventure Location: Decatur, Al

Today's Date: 8-2-2022

Here we go with another late night. The morning walk was gentle but painful due to both hips aching with each step. It is not a nice way to live. But the scenery after all the rain is pretty nice and colorful. As you leave the campground and get a view of the first class soccer field you can see the extra rain water really made the grass very happy. And with school traffic starting tomorrow it will need all the help it can get.

As we moved on along we came to a large pavilion entrance that shows the flowers busting out big time. A couple more days of sun and the flowers will be overpowering.

At one place on the walk the leaves of the shrubs have these bumps on them and we have no idea of what they mean. Does any one else have any idea?

We got tangled with some of the marsh country and it was dark in there. This has been heavily electronically enlightened. It was really dark in the wet marsh trees tunnel.

However we thought it was a nice interesting view of no mans land near the campground. During the several years we have meandered these swampy areas we have seen only two snakes. And one was not poisonous and the other water moccasin. So it is a fairly safe area we think.

That is it for tonight but there is a lot of stuff to report about our trying to have tooooo much fun.AA
