It was a bad night for sleeping for some unknown reason. The OFM was awake for almost 3 hours in the early morning. Then he was up by 0700 this morning.

The rest of the day had very little interesting to it. Even our 3+ mile walk did not result in any pictures being taken. At least lunch was good and the hour and a half nap afterward was excellent.

A hard rain hit the Castle about 1700 and the bathroom window did not leak. We hope it stays that way.

So for tonight we will show a new painting for your enjoyment.

And that is about the whole story for today's effort at trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. Glad you haven't blown away....did you put that background in or was it already there. Reason I'm asking is that it's different from your recent cacti. I like this one quite a bit.

    1. Since the first one, all the background for all of them is my doing. I also modify all the cacti to some extent so it is more like the real cacti. The coloring book gives a basic outline that the colorist must finish out to suit their taste. All hue, value and blending choices are up to the colorist.

  4. What did you use for the picture? did you use colored pencils? I have enjoyed your blog for years and especially seeing you learn to produce art.

    1. I used Prismacolor brand colored pencils. This art stuff is definitely a fun activity for me.

  5. You inspired me to start doing art projects myself. I bought the Prismacolor pencils as well as some Staedtler markers to use for coloring mandalas. I am really enjoying it, I try and do one a day. Thank you for the inspiration.

    1. All the backgrounds are from my imagination, thus that is OFM Point.
