The OFM was sitting around being his usual worthless self thinking about fishing. He has been using fishing spoons since we got here with good success. All but one of the fish were caught on a gold spoon. The other fish was caught on a silver spoon. That makes the gold spoon a clear winner in the catching contest.

Since that is working well, we might as well experiment some more. So we took the silver spoon and painted one side white and the other side chartreuse.  After letting it dry all afternoon, this evening it was given a try at the harbor.

Well we were surprised when the spoon caught a nice speckled trout. The cool weather had the trout very frisky.  It took a couple of minutes to land the fish and then get it unhooked and returned to the water to grow up. So the OFM can proudly proclaim that he knows how to paint a fishing spoon to attract fish.

We call it luck but painting the spoon and trying it apparently, for him, was a great way of trying to have tooooo much fun.
