Clouds In Our World

Adventure Location: Rockport, Texas

Today's Date: 6-4-2022

It was a day of wild clouds all day long. Every time the camera looked up it was a show of shows in the clouds. The first cloud showed up on the way to walk this morning. It seemed to be making up to be a tornado at first right on the end of the rock fishing pier at the beach. We watched it for a couple of minutes and it slowly began to break up so we pulled out for the Municipal Park and the needed walk.

During a stop for a for some insect spray at Walmart we saw the new succulents that had just arrived. Most were in nice shape and the usual plants. However they had several of this succulent with the grotesque leaf structure that we do not recall ever seeing before. It is an interesting looking plant that got cuter the longer the OFM looked at it so we had to get out of there. But we did bring you a picture of the cutest one of them all.

After supper we went back to the very crowded beach park to look around. We happened to park near a sign pole that was replaced about 4-5 years ago with a brand new galvanized pole. Check out what the salt environment thought about that.

Nothing holds up down here in the salt environment. Even the wood seems to rust faster than rot.

As the sun was sinking we noticed more goofy cloud formations. This cloud bank looked like the western fires were climbing up the backside of the cloud bank in the evening lighting to the OFM.

We think lots of folks today had a lot of fun trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. OK I took your advice and found out why I could not comment on your blog: my Brave Browser was blocking third party cookies. So I went to Brave Settings, Privacy and Security, General Settings, and then clicked on "Allow All Cookies." Now I can comment.

But that is a lot of steps to do and undo each time. I wish there was a simpler way to do it.

Maybe you should have an email address listed at the top of the blog, and I could just email you instead of doing all these steps?

  2. Anyway, I wondered if certain plastics and fiberglass hold up well in salt spray? They must, or boats wouldn't be made of fiberglass. Do beachside house use vinyl siding, and does that hold up well?

    1. What gets the plastics and all poly resins is the UV deterioration. They are pretty well corrosion impervious.
