A nasty morning greeted the OFM Teams when we got going today. The fog and drizzle was thick so the OFM just got busy on the painting in progress. Every now and then we would get a look at the outside and be glad to stay indoors and paint the next wonderful fantastic OFM Teams art effort. And here is ROSE HILL.

As normal we headed to get lunch in Aransas Pass. The arrival was a bit later than usual but that just means there was very few folks in the dining room to share their germs with the OFM Teams.

While eating the Whataburger the OFM thought of a couple of things we could hit the Walmart to check out for the heck of it. Yep they had the things and a few other things also. So when it was finished we did drop a couple of dollars on some candles. The Castle is so small that we normally cannot stand a regular size candle burning without the windows open. The fragrance gets way too thick otherwise. But Walmart had tea candles package in big bunches for about 10 cents each. They had a fragrance the OFM likes so we wasted some money on a package.

Then we saw the small glass holder that was needed to put the the tea holders in to burn safely. One of them jumped into the pile also.

A big surprise when we got home is the glass candle holder fit into the cook top grating perfectly. This allows us to have the tea candle fire in the cook top fire area. That is a great safety feature.

As if that was not enough excitement, in the mid afternoon we headed out to give walking a try again down at Memorial Park. There was a lot of folks on the trails today and we joined right in. To our surprise the right foot gave very little trouble and we moved on out at a brisk pace. And of all things we made the whole 1.5 mile loop at full walking speed and only a hint of pain.

We are sure hopeful that the damaged foot is now all healed and ready to roll as soon as the latest mail and mail order things arrive. Falcon Lake is calling us. And that is a great place for trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. Good news on the foot! Warm apple pie, huh. Excellent location....you can think there's one in the oven.
Rose hill probably has a story, given the little rose bushes on the upper right.

  2. Where is Falcon Lake? Are you going there to fish or do you just like that area?

    1. BOTH. It is about ten miles up the Rio Grande River from Roma, Texas. Lots of free camping and Falcon Lake State Park is available. Check my blog for pictures of the area. By the way it is normally warmer there than Tucson in the winter.
