The day started with a very achy OFM. Somewhere along the way yesterday he used a muscle and his body objected with great vigor to that silly action. But he kept on keeping on anyway.
However the 3 mile walk was more of a one mile slow meander on the flat solid sidewalk over near the golf course. It was a warm morning of a day that is supposed to get rainy. As the Meandering Team meandered along the OFM started feeling much better. Not right, but definitely much better.
That turned out to be important since a wonderful sight appeared clear across the street in the welcome planter by the water fall sign. The flowers were doing their job of attracting attention to the Point Mallard Park system.
After being careful to make certain the traffic was slow enough ( no vehicles in sight) the OFM meandered at top meandering speed across the road. The ants that out ran him across were gathered at the edge of the grass to see if he became a grease spot or not. We made it with time to spare.
First we checked out all the flowers and found many of them to be beautiful so pictures were needed. Then the OFM remembered that the cheap camera we have can take close up pictures also. So another hour and a half was spent finding out how to take close up pictures. Actually all the Teams members were surprised he was able to understand something that complicated like manual focus. But he did, so we got busy doing something productive for a change.
The first flower is the one named Yellow Flower. It was a very nice flower that cooperated well for holding still in the breeze.
We liked that picture so much we went in closer for another intimate shot. WOW now this one got a lot more personal.
That is nice isn’t it.
That effort seemed to work out so well that the beautiful red ones nearby were envious and politely asked for the OFM to take their picture also so the whole world could see how pretty they are. So we did. The red flowers were really looking good in the bright sun in our opinion.
Naturally the seductive red flower asked us to come a little closer and the OFM was quite ready for some action he thought. How do you like how the action turned out?
After all that effort and then having to meander back across the street to the side walk, the OFM was getting worn out. So we took the path back to the campground and on to the Castle. It was a successful short walk and the OFM’s body was feeling much better.
It was lunch time by now and the OFM chowed down on the last of the chicken and rice stoup from a couple of days ago. It was very good to our surprise. This seemed to be a very good start for a day of trying to have tooooo much fun.
