Year 17 Begins

Today starts our year 17 of rving in full timing mode. It has been great fun but things are slowing down now the OFM being so old and decrepit.

But we are still trying to get the Castle in good shape to roll soon. We will not roll until we are sure the entire rig is in first class shape to roll. Our plan is to go south on I-65 and turn right at I-20 and roll carefully to our next destination wherever it turns out to be. Our return date to gran kid land is when we get back there.

This morning started well before sunrise. The OFM got ready and breakfast eaten and cleaned up so we rolled about 0610 and got to the gymnastics competition about twenty minutes before it started. Granddaughter Piper won several medals but not a first place finish. There are two more competitions this year but they are too far away for the OFM Teams to attend.

We had a good turn out of grand parents this morning with all three sets getting to come to the event.

The OFM only got lost twice while returning from the event but he caught it quickly and only added about fifteen minutes total to the trip. Other than that the drive was nice one through the forests in the area as they get ready for the fall color outbreak. It looks like it will be a major one.

A nice long afternoon nap was the grand feature of the rest of the day. And it was really welcome.

Every one have a great Sunday and relax as much as you can. Monday we have to work harder at trying to have tooooo much fun. OK.
