Our walk went really nicely. Kind of overcast and cool but the OFM was again brisk walking and we made the 1.5 mile turnaround marker easily. By the time we were back at the Castle we realized we only had three pictures today.
The race poster the OFM complained about yesterday had been altered by the time we got to the race area.
Somebody came through and added a date to the signs all along the trail. So now we can give them the trail for the race and walk a different pile of paths that morning. It is nice to see the schools in this area doing special things to get the kids involved in outdoor events like this race.
We noticed something about the fall colors this year. They seem to start to develop and by three days later they are all finished.
Here is some new color that started yesterday.
This is three day old color and you can see it is just about over with already. The colors happen too fast around here it seems to us.
The important call to the repair shop for the Castle was made about 1100 this morning and things have changed a bit. The lady said they cold get the rig in early on Thursday morning of next week and most likely finish all the repairs that same day. The OFM had to hear that twice to make sure of what he had heard. After four months of later, later, later we suddenly will get it all done next week. WOW.
So unless they find more trouble than we know about, Friday of next week the Castle will be in rolling shape again. WOW.
Later in the day an email came in with the next gymnastics contest date and time and location. It will be close enough that we think we will go to it.
The OFM has a swirling brain from all the possibilities suddenly going to be available to enjoy. Do not stand too close. Reality will probably strike with a vengeance any moment now. It is time to get rested for trying to have tooooo much fun tomorrow.
