Out Of The Refrigerator

Adventure Location:

Decatur, Alabama

Date: October 5, 2023

The OFM came crawling out of the refrigerator this morning a bit chilled finally. He was still not happy but we had a new day to usher into our life. So breakfast went well and the OFM Team got busy getting ready to do our heart medicine (walk briskly). The walk went well and we got two really important pictures.

When we left the Castle we noticed a stream of water running down the street.

That does not look good to us but the trail was calling and onward we went. There was a few folks and a puppy on the trail to give HOWDYS too. Even a couple that stopped to talk for a few minutes, which was very nice. On to a turn around point we went and it was the farthermost one we have mapped. The whole walk was nice and we got in a bit over an hour of good walking. But no pictures were special enough to take.

As we headed along the campground road going back to the Castle we noticed the campground manager and some of his helpers we digging for the leak to see what needed to be done. That is Sierra a bit behind the worker.

.

After about an hour and a half of work they found out that the leaking pipe is steel and the campground folks are not equipped to repair steel pipe, only plastic piping. So the local plumber was called and got there in very reasonable time. In the mean time our big chunk of the campground did without water. Of course most folks had fresh water on board and just swapped to the rig' s on board water system. But this time our onboard water pump is down so we had to do without the onboard system. But we did have two 2 liter bottles of water we did use the old fashioned way.

By now it was after 1300 and the OFM was piddling on the computer and angrily checked the package tracking site that told us the bad news last night, OH WOW it says the package was just delivered about ten minutes ago. So Whoose he was down at the office to see what is what. Sure enough the package was there and the address was smeared where it was hard to decipher especially if it was getting dark when you tried to read it. OK everything is OK now and the OFM had a wild night enjoying the inside of the refrigerator.

So now he can sleep in the bed as we get rested for a big day of housekeeping tomorrow. And the house definitely needs it.

And the water came back on late afternoon so we got to clean the OFM from his trail dirt he accumulated on the morning walk.
