We did get out for a HOT walk this morning. Not long after starting we came along to this warning on the ground. WATCH OUT FOR TREE LIMBS FALLING. It wasn't a sign in writing, it was a fresh limb since yesterday.

Do not be surprised if the OFM blog does not get a new entry now and then. Things are so dull for now that we might not even have a bland and boring blog to write. We still plan on writing some sort of gibberish anyway.

Speaking of getting old and arthritic, here is a picture of the OFM hand trying to handle this 3 liter pot empty. When it was full of chicken breasts and water a bit ago, the OFM found that it was no longer a pot for us to have in the Castle. It takes him two hands now to handle it when there is a pot of food in it. The old 2 liter pot is still very “handle able” by the OFM hands so it will be doing cooking duty in the future. Getting old stinks.

In the mean time enjoy the new header picture. We have started another small picture today. It might be ready by September if we are lucky. In the mean time we have to work harder at trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. The header picture is a keeper for sure! You ought to be somewhere that you could have a little show...you've really done some nice things. Most small towns have art groups and put on shows. Of course, you might not want to sell any of them. I myself have been happy with any monetyary prize and any sale i could get. It's also nice to think of others enjoying something you've done.
Yes, getting old stinks. And nobody ever told me I would have to be BRAVE.

  2. If you can find a pot that is the proper size with two handles .... easier said than done isn't it?

If someone out in viewer land is an entrepreneur sort of person there may be enough old folks out there who could use the normal smaller pots with a second hand hold to make it worthwhile to put that all together.

    1. The pot is too large for my needs anyway now. Check websites for folks with physical handicaps for attachable pot handles.
My two liter pot and I get along famously.

  3. We got rid of our 3 quart pot as well. No need for anything that large anymore. We kept the big skillet, though, as that's what we use to make chili every once in a while. I can't remember the last time we made chili, though.

    1. What are you having for dinner tonight?

    2. I don't use skillets, only high sided pots so the grease spatter is inside the pot only and not the stove top.
