The morning walk went well for the most part. About two thirds of the way through it the OFM had to slow his pace a bit. Shortly after that the heavy thunder behind the tree line caught our attention. The Castle was in sight when we caught the first raindrops.
The
rest of the day was a rainy mess for sure. We piddled around most of
the day until we got notice that tomorrow is picnic day for the
grandkids and their parents here at the Castle. It will be the first
time the grands have been to see the Castle and the Point Mallard
Park. It should be an interesting day to say the least. The OFM will
undoubtedly have lots of help in trying to have tooooo much fun.
Well at least you have had time to recover from the last grandkids event! (I think Linda Sand was implying that ankle support might help the hip problem....good ankle support for walking can affect the whole leg!! I know from personal experience, it affects the knees for sure.)
ReplyDeleteOK. Have fun!
Thank you for the added info.
DeleteOnce when I was about 25, as a person from the lowlands, I climbed an Appalachian mountain, 2 miles up and 2 miles down. I wore sneakers - the old fashioned Keds, and spent the night in tears with knee pain. I was told to get good ankle support boots. I did many other trips and did not spend any nights in tears. I suspect the good effects might carry to the hip joints as well.
DeleteYep, that is good experience to keep in mind.
