Twas a beautiful but cold day. On the way to the trash bin we spotted this weird growth. To the best of our recollection we saw it in a different shape years ago. Well here is what that goofy tree growth looks like now. If someone knows what is going on, please let us know.

On a short chilly walk today we were happy to see lots of the park areas being used. In particular the soccer field was in heavy use. Here is one group practicing with great vigor.

On another front we received a delivery of another post from grandson Gavin. We will have to have a visit with him soon we hope.

The work on the new picture fell apart about two hours into the effort. So the attempt to do the painting in watercolor pencils and then in Neocolor II crayons was a total failure. The attempt went into the trash bin.

Next we reset up to do the same painting in colored pencil and it is going very well. We have hopes to get it finished within another month or so.

Even with the total failure of the first effort we certainly was a good time of trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. I can tell you it's a mushroom that grows on tree wood. I'm not sure of it's name but likely icicles mushroom.
