A brisk but nice day made the trip to the dentist pleasant. Heather did a great job of cleaning the OFM teeth and even said that he has pretty teeth. Then the dentist came in for a serious look at the x-rays and do a bit of his own poking around. When it was all said and done the OFM got an A for teeth care. Checking out only cost $79 total. We thought that was a reasonable charge for all the effort put in.

As we left the dentist's office the OFM noticed how much brighter everything was. Apparently the two year old photo gray lenses in the old frames were staying too dark too long after the sunshine minimized. Later in the day we took the camera out for a meander back to the white flower area. It was very bright sun and we could see the camera screen a lot better than we had in some time. Yep it was a good idea to use clear lenses and clip on polarized dark lenses. It has already by dark today proved its worth.

Here is one of the same flowers that were fuzzy from yesterday. Today the OFM could actually see when the focus was sharper and push the shutter switch at the correct time.

Before the appointment this morning, the OFM worked very diligently trying to get a sketch going to outline the object lines on a new painting we are starting. This method is our first attempt at using this method. We will see how well he handles the rest of the painting.

The park is having flooding trouble again since the lake level has been raised higher than parts of the Point Mallard Park. We checked the lake expected peak elevation and it is a couple of feet below the elevation of the Castle's site. We doubt it will bother us at all except for a couple of flood spots on the walking trails near the lake.

We are not planning on lake wading to be our effort at trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. So you have reinforced my reluctance to get those lenses that change with the available light. (I also wish I had a dentist who charged that for a cleaning.)
And I am glad to see you are doing your own drawing in this project Yea!!
Stay warm with possible April frosts!

My Aunt had those glasses back in the Seventies. The first time they went dark they never lightened again.

    It's about time.
