When all the members of the OFM Teams were finally awake and ready to go, you can guess who was last to be ready to do a nice meander today. We got him out the door finally and headed for this lonesome road to the state park.

It turned out to be over two miles and very pleasant walking. We even found a couple of interesting items.

We had heard the State Park had acquired a big chunk of land adjoining the county park and state park. As we progressed along the road we found a new to us survey effort. From the writing on the stake and marker it is the new corner of the State Park land. It will make a nice addition to the park. We hope they add more campsites since they fill up very often now days.

We continued up to the top of the hill and rested a few minutes and had a few swallows of water too. Then we went back down the hill on the opposite side of the road.

About halfway back the OFM got a big scare. As we passed near an old tree, a huge hand came out of the dirt and grabbed a tree limb stump on the old tree. We did not wait around to see what else would come out of the dirt.

We made it safely back to the county park and enjoyed a rest at the Castle while reconsidering about that hand. Nope we did not go back to check it out again.

So we are politely sitting in the Castle coloring a new page of “art” when a horrible sight came rolling into the park. It was an Arctic 27-5L trailer pulled by a dark blue truck. Our first thought was Oh boy the Boondork is here. But we knew better. His location is in Arizona now. But it was a fun sight to see anyway.

And that is a good day of trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. I kinda wish it was me, the truck and the Arctic Fox are a lot newer than mine. But never assume it's not me, I'm a man of a thousand disguises, but every one of them looks like a homeless bum.

    1. If Barney and I were in the same state our combined ages would statistically average out to everyone in the state being a senior citizen.
