Horses Coloring Attempt

The new coloring book turned out to be NOT heavy enough for water color pencil work. The water rumpled the paper very badly. We took a page from the book and started the coloring with water color pencils by Prismacolor. They are very good pencils and we have successfully used them several times in the past on watercolor paper to attempt water color art but it was not to be on this paper.

We had run out of OMS (odorless mineral spirits) to work with colored pencil, so it was off to that great art shop Walmart to get some. OMS is what the OFM learned to use to smooth out his lines from colored pencil work. Upon return home we took a careful look at the page we had started and determined that by cutting a strip from the page bottom, we could salvage it as a reasonable attempt at a coloring. Here is where we are now at with that coloring.

We will be continuing the coloring forward as a colored pencil art attempt.

Along about lunch thirty the OFM started to feel less than his best and it is still slowly gone to worse. The walk this nice afternoon was shut down at about a half mile and we hope to be doing better tomorrow after some careful applications of hot green tea to the OFM innards tonight. We plan to be doing much better in the morning.

Then we can ALL be trying to have tooooo much fun.
