Sudden Site Change Required

Today Date: 4-7-2023

Still not really well but does not feel like flu now and more like severe allergy mess. But there was no time to mess around today. The OFM had turned in a formal sewer clogging report a couple of days before and the manager did get a plumbing fellow out here today to find out what is wrong. Boy did he.

After some inspection and sucking the septic tank that serves four campsites mostly empty he went through a very methodical process to find the trouble. The OFM has many years of sanitary sewer design and maintenance experience on these types of systems and this plumber had his act together. The OFM helped him a little here and there to speed things up to beat the rain coming. We didn't beat it.

Any way he did properly diagnose the first trouble found as a clogged main line right under the Castle. So the OFM team had to get busy and move the Castle to his new location about a week early. Luckily everything went well and the Castle got moved to its next location.

The OFM finished getting the Castle moved and set up in good time. We even took this picture of the crowded campground from our do everything table.

Then we headed over to assist with anything the OFM could to help get through before the arriving rain. We did not make it. However the plumber had found the worst broken sewer line section and it is in multiple pieces mired in some very nasty mud.

As of this moment it is not known how far along the line the pipe is shattered like that. It does need to be repaired by April 15 for the new occupant that is arriving. So there is not time to mess around. The OFM is sure glad he is not on this repair job.

A new small but serious leak showed up in the Castle roof seam after this short move to the new site so we now have a high priority job to get that roof leak stopped ASAP. Mother Nature is planning for a few days of rain to make it exciting for the OFM and the plumber with their respective chores.

Yep the OFM Rving is just all fun and frolicking and good times..... yea right!

So tonight we are trying to get some decent rest to be ready for trying to stop a leak tomorrow morning before the fresh rains hit us hard again.

After all this mess we are hoping to do some serious trying to have tooooo much fun.
