The report from the plumber and manager's conference is that a good bit more work will be done on the sewer lines in the area we were in to bring it up to a better and more reliable system from the 40+ year old broken one that is there now. We think that is a very good idea.
The Castle had a roof leak in the recent storm so not any time was wasted in trying to get it repaired today. A check of the area of the roof where the leak seemed to originate revealed some cracked caulk in two places and another area where it appears a tree branch may have caused more trouble. So after a careful attempt at deciding the right course of action the OFM got busy hitting the stores for the supplies he wanted for the job at hand.
It ended up with some paint from Walmart and some fresh caulk from a Lowe's hardware store and we got busy.
Now the big trouble is having the OFM way up on the 6 foot ladder next to the Castle and keeping that wobbly old fool on the ladder and safe. Well no blood was spilled or bones broken so he did OK.
However we did not get to attend the noon potluck feeding of the residents. They all said it was wonderful.
We are glad to have been able to finish the whole job today before the next rains hit here.
For now we are expecting to be here until May 15 before we roll again. And where we will go next is not yet known but it will be time to be heading toward Grandkid Land we think. Maybe the OFM needs to build up some extra rest for when we get to Grandkid Land. Those two can certainly pile up the trying to have tooooo much fun.
As you've always said, you can never have too much fun. Leaking roofs are definitely not fun.
