Our next night on the road led us to Choke Canyon State Park and an area that thirty years ago had several visits from the OFM when he was designing petrochemical plants for a living. Choke Canyon Lake was just being built as was the petrochemical plant the OFM worked on. Now here we were to camp in the State Park again after several decades. It is still a nice park and a great family with kids park to play in.

Here is our campsite looking toward the very low water lake.

It was a well built and maintained site and the whole park seemed to be well maintained also, So if you are in the area it is a good place to camp.

The OFM walked down to the shore line to take a look back up to the campsite. Boy o boy that is a lot of missing water.

Later that evening the sky did all sorts of silly tricks and ended the day with this sort of light show.

It was definitely spectacular to the Teams. The night was cool and dry so we slept very well. The next morning fairly early we rolled out and resumed our trip to Rockport Texas and doing the income taxes for last year. Doing income taxes is not our idea of a good way of trying to have tooooo much fun.
