The OFM insisted he was going to do a morning walk in spite of the cold and wind. So it was off to the Beach Park to let the fool (make that FOOL) have a go at a walk. As we pulled into the park the flags gave him a warning.
But he insisted. So it was down to the far end we went. He got all his cold weather stuff put on his body and away we went. BRRRRRR was our only thought. He made some good effort and finally gave up and went onto the pier to check the water level in the bay.
The water was way out from the vegetation line and a seagull was flying the beach checking for food. The cold chill finally convinced the OFM to head back to the Castle and thaw out.
At the Castle we got him to working on a painting and then reading about how to do what he was wanting to do on the Internet. It was a very educational time period. He is learning more about blending the pencil lines. Here is where he is at for now.
There is a big improvement in that flower from earlier today, but we have more work to do on it and the others before we will call it quits on this painting.
Late in the afternoon the OFM did listen to us a bit and we went to the Community Park where the walking path is mostly down in the trees somewhat sheltered from the wind. He made it for one loop and quit. That gave him about 2.5 miles for the day. Even with the strong winds and chill in the air, the painting effort did make it a great day for trying to have tooooo much fun.
It is funny how much a certain quality adds to a photograph: your top photo shows red seed pods in the foreground and in focus, while the background is out of focus. Maybe that style imitates how our brains work. We think about one thing at a time, while the background issues are put on hold.
ReplyDeleteSince we are now entering the coldest part of the year having walks for having tooooo much fun can be a challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is coming along.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
