MAJOR ROAD CLOSURE

I-40 at Memphis Tennessee was found to have a broken bridge beam and I-40 is now routed to I-55 to cross the Mississippi River

We got in almost three miles of a walk this morning while the OFM was noticing several pretty things along the way. He was still thinking of leaving Sunday but cannot figure out somewhere interesting to go for now.

We do not have a painting or sketch started or even planned. So he spends a good bit of time considering what to “art” to do next. When we passed the golf course on the way back home from the grocery store, the practice area was empty enough that when the groceries were put away, he went back to practice. And practice he did. The exercise was great but the golf progress was zero.

Here is a picture from along the trail that looked kind of nice while the sun was shining.

Along the trail there are a few small creeks that trickle out into the river/swamp. Near the mouth of this one was a yellow flower blooming near some rocks and water flowing. It struck the OFM as a nice scene.

Hmmm. Could the OFM paint something this complicated? We doubt it. Maybe he will figure out what to paint soon. In the mean time he is pretty good at finding ways of trying to have tooooo much fun.

  1. I thought you mentioned a while back that you were going to go down to Bellingrath Gardens for a few days. That sounds like it would be a great mini-vacation, and there's plenty of walking for you to do in that place.

I haven't been there for 10 years or more, and I've forgotten what an Azalea looks like. The gas pipeline is back open again, and it looks like it's almost all Interstate the whole way. You could leave after breakfast and be there for a late lunch, and you'll wear your camera out taking pictures at Bellingrath Gardens.

  2. I mentioned it as a place that might be nice. It is about 375 miles from here. Thank you for the reminder.

  3. The last picture could easily be recreated. Details of the Rock are not written in stone.
Whether you are creating Artwork, taking pictures on a Hike or practicing Golf you always seem to be having tooooo much fun.
Be Safe and Enjoy having fun.

    It's about time.
