Broken Sierra Again

ADVENTURE LOCATION:

DECATUR, ALABAMA

POINT MALLARD PARK

DATE: OCTOBER 3, 2024

Sure enough Sierra started acting up worse on the way to lunch. After lunch we took Sierra on over to the dealer that put the new transmission in about 6 weeks ago. They ran a couple of tests on it but no codes came back with trouble showing. So tomorrow sierra is due at the dealers shop at 0800 to find out what is causing the shifting troubles. So as of now all NEAR FUTURE rolling plans are canceled until Sierra is running right again AND PROVEN OK BY THE OFM. Now to good stuff.

The rest of the day was spent just lazing around trying to figure out anything but really just being lazy. Deciding about what to create next in our art efforts is about all we have been considering this afternoon. The OFM even failed at taking a nap. Everyone have a great night and tomorrow.

  1. Lets hope they tightened up the drain plug when they filled it up with fluid. This happens more than you think when the oil is changed or fluid added to a tranny. All is good for a time while the fluid slowly leaks out, and then the trouble starts. I keep a big piece of cardboard that I put under my vehicles for a few days after I have them worked on by others. Caught a couple of leaks that way.

  2. You are having way too much fun this summer, about like me. Hope they find it to be a simple repair. To me anyway there is nothing more frustrating than car/truck issues.

  3. Working with an independent repair shop and a Dealership is a recipe for problems, they point the finger at one another.
