ROCKPORT, TEXAS
5/1/25
We got a good start this morning and got to the new site before lunch, checked in at GOOSE ISLAND STATE PARK by 10am. Before lunch we were mostly set up. But the campground water lines started leaking here and there all over the area and the fun began. It is dark thirty now and the skeeters are hungry down here in this saltwater marsh. But we are set up enough to make it to tomorrow inside the rig. Hopefully other equipment will be here early tomorrow and they can get us reliable drinking water flowing. At least tonight we can keep the skeeters off of us. Several photos were taken today but the OFM is too pooped to play any more tonight. At least we feel good enough to get back at it tomorrow. Be safe and sleep well.
We will.
Lots of Campgrounds were built when the southern states had warmer temperatures. Now they are getting freezing temperatures that cause the waterlines to crack and leak.
ReplyDeleteMosquitos always ruin a fun night visiting with others outside.
Glad you are staying Safe and Enjoying the new location.
It's about time.
Skeeters are rare in my neck of the woods, which is one of the reasons I left the South. But I've had a few run-ins with no-see-ems, which I think are worse. May the plumbing issues get worked out soon and well.
