FULTON, TEXAS
We have been trying to revise our blog style for some time due to aging and attitude and just want to. Since tonight is the last night of doing several of our travel things the same way for the last 19 years we decided to start our new effort on this approximate birthday of the blog starting way back then. We do not have a particular plan yet but do feel the need for some new things and styles to happen.
For example we have plans to do some trips by way of moteling along the way when it seems like a better way. On the other hand we want to reserve more time for connecting better with what little family the OFM has left in this world.
In the past if it did not involve RVing it had to wait. We hope that we can make our new lifestyle much more much more versatile at pleasing our readers. We are pretty certain our readers would be happy to provide suggestions in the comments section. One thing for certain is this old body has taken a lot of physical abilities he used to have and waved goodbye to them at my current age of 78.9 years old. Suggestions would be very welcome.
We’re all aging and I hope no matter what shape your life takes you will continue to share your story so we can continue to learn. Remember when George moved in to his apartment, then tried different ways to travel and then reached the ultimate end of the road? We need your story, and thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE WELCOME
DeleteEven if your adventures don't involve RVing, you can still write about it as a way of documenting the activities. When I was being taught about Blogging, the fact was made that Blogging, Logging. Ledgering and making a Diary were all the same things. Instead of writing it on Paper, you share with the world electronically.
ReplyDeleteThe main thing you have to remember is you are doing this for yourself, your memory, enjoyment, pleasure and everyone else is a bonus.
You've been sharing your life with the world, now you can spend more time sharing it with your family as well.
Stay Safe and Enjoy having tooooo much fun.
It's about time.
Excellent education there Rick. THANK YOU.
DeleteBarney, I've loved reading your blog since I found you through RVSue. Not the whole 19 years, but at least 10 years. I agree with those above. We get old and things change. We do the best to navigate our way through, hopefully making wise choices to make things easier as we need to. It's about YOU not us. We are just the lucky readers who get to see an OFM having too much fun. Do what you need to. We care about you. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteI hope you stick around blog land. Even if your trips or visits are by car/truck and motel, that's fine. Like you suggested to me one time .. don't have to blog every day just when you want to. I am glad you are looking for new adventures. The front door is always open if you wanna visit, the hounds and dogs love company.
ReplyDeleteLife is having options. The more options you have, the more freedom you have in your life. Try to keep as many options as you can and still be safe and happy.
ReplyDeleteMissing you, Barney. Hope all is well. You know that keeping up with you is part of my daily schedule! I hear you about gerting older. Every day another challenge!
ReplyDeleteSure am missing hearing about OFM'S day! Sure hope he is having a decent amount of fun.
ReplyDeleteBarney, how are you doing? It's been awhile..
ReplyDeleteBarney wants you to know he made it back to Alabama, but it will be a bit before he is back online.
ReplyDeleteHoping you are safely enjoying a new adventure and not having serious problems.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
You OK? It's been 12 days since your last post.
ReplyDeleteI’m posting this at Barney’s request. Barney was in hospital, but recovering near his son. Will be back and adventures will continue.
ReplyDeleteYou haven't posted in quite a while. You OK?
ReplyDeletePosting this at Barney’s request. He has been in hospital and now recovering at his son’s home. Will be back soon for more adventures
ReplyDeleteHope you are okay. I too have followed you for years.
