Good evening. I am still having computer troubles. My move into Heritage assisted living in Madison Alabama has gone well. I am still getting set up but healing the doctor thinks. This will be a multimonth healing the doc feels. I thank everyone for the comments and good wishes. I have had a support crew that is much better than fantastic. The blog will continue but RVing in the Castle is over. Towing is not in my ability anymore. How ever I plan to find a way to continue to get outside to play.
In the meantime I hope to get set up to soon participate in productive stories by one method or another. I also will later attempt to relate what happened to me that day I passed out on a Texas state park road and woke up in a Texas hospital with no idea of what happened. Think internal body infection. All signs are pointing to an internal body infection of some sort at this time. It has definitely been bad. See you soon.
Glad to hear you are safe & being taken care of.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are well enough to talk to us! Hope things only get better for you! It's good to know where you are. I am sure you will be entertaining the staff there in short order. I have so enjoyed your sense of humor over the years. Look forward to your next post.
ReplyDeletePassing out while driving does sound scary, but it shouldn't be a big deal as long as they can figure out what caused it. You mentioned that towing is out of the question, does that mean that you won't be RVing anymore, or that you need to get a van? And when you get a chance to talk about it I would also be interested in hearing what part the VA is playing in your medical problems, since the VA is a big part of my life now.
ReplyDeleteTom..... Toooo happy you're feeling better.
The VA is not involved in the healing yet. Tom
DeleteI was walking along the road not driviing thank goodness.
DeleteJust glad to hear you are in recovery mode and looking forward to your adventures in whatever form they take.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe!
It's about time.
Love ya, Barney!
ReplyDeleteHello Barney, sorry to hear about RV and days over but glad to hear that you're physically on the mend. Now you will be able to show us the ins and outs of assisted living which is something any of us will be going into in the future. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear you are feeling better Barney. I am looking forward to your new adventures but take you time and get better. Sounds like you are in good hands from your medical crew and your support people nearby.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear things are not worse, waking up in a hospital when you last remember driving is scary! Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are getting better. I have always enjoyed your commentaries. Your kayak is still alive and well.
ReplyDeletePeople contemplating full-time mobile living often ask us nomads what we would do if/when we become physically unable to live this way. I respond that we do what we would do if we were still living in a building and had limitations: figure something out. It looks like you have the situation in hand and people to help. Life has changed but you're continuing on. Best wishes for your recovery, friend.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read of your medical issue, Barney. So glad it wasn't worse. From what you have shared it could have been catastrophic. Pulling for things to quickly improve for you. Obtw, I just started my blog back. For how long? Who knows...jc
ReplyDeleteI am stunned. I was sure you were just taking some time to regroup as well as having computer problems. Glad to hear you are getting good care....
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear that your life improves. Missed you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You’re the best!
