I have had a so what day all day. So I spent most of the day working on a new coloring and just cooling my heels. Sorry folks that is my best for today. OFM
Barney, your best is good enough! You keep our spirits up by keeping on keeping on. We know about those days when all we seem to do is mark time------ and then are amazed at how time flies! Hope tomorrow is a good day for you!
Maybe it was just a so what day where you're at, but it was a very good day here and that was largely due to you. A week ago, my wife had her first visit with a neurologist, who confirmed her diagnosis of moderate dementia, and yesterday he called to discuss the results of her lab tests. She's low on B complex vitamins, anemic and a few other things. He'll know more when she goes for an MRI in a couple of weeks, but the bottom line is that her (and your) condition is treatable. Maybe it can't be reversed, but it can be slowed, and that gives us hope. So the bottom line is you just didn't know what a good day it was because of you. Thanks for your frank discussion of this condition. Yesterday was a better day than you realize, because of you..
When all the testing and picture taking was finished the doc was able to show me dramatically where the damage was causing my trouble. Two back lobes of my brain showed basically insufficient blood flow for that part of the brain to function. We still do not have enough evidence to identify exactly which one of the five types of dementia I have yet.
And, on the other hand, Editor, I'm sure your acknowledgement helps Barney. Thank you for that. The OFM has been a light for all of us to follow for so many years.
Well, there are some days where I ONLY cool my heels....once in a while...My guess is that tomorrow will be different for you..
