ADVENTURE LOCATION:
DECATUR, ALABAMA
POINT MALLARD CAMPGROUND
NOVEMBER 4, 2024
The morning came and the OFM got himself busy trying to work out a travel itinerary for the first few days of our traveling. The Thanksgiving holidays are causing all kinds of trouble getting camping spots along the way. Then to top it off the Texas State Park System would not let us renew our annual entry pass while looking at camp sites. Then we shut it all down and restarted by just trying to renew the pass only and it went great. We guess that everything is on. But tomorrow we theoretically can start to set up a route and purchase campsite nights along our way for the first few days of travel. After that we will be west enough that reserving sites are seldom needed in the past. Our plan is to find out if we would want to make Rockport a regular winter home base type of set up or not. It has developed a lot in the last fifty years and we want to see what it feels like these days.
After that we feel that moving on over to the Rio Grande River would be a good move. We shall see. Have a great night.
