First Day of New blog

MADISON, ALABAMA

6/30/25

The facility here is assisted living by definition, not nursing home. For the most part you can come and go as you wish. A careful head count is always maintained and works out well.  It is like having one bedroom apartments to live in. Cooking is done in a main kitchen with meals provided three times a day.  Over all it is a decent set up.

Events of all sorts are held frequently and generally well attended and residents families are always welcome to visit kids and all. Plenty of parking is available so you can have your vehicle here with you. Visitors seem to have plenty of parking also. Over all you will see, if I can get pictures to post again, that overall it is a nice place to live while getting yourself back together. Once again I am waiting for picture taking to be working.

Your laundry is washed for you once a week and the living area is vacuumed and the bath gets washed down early in the week. Mail is delivered to your unit after arriving at the main reception desk. Ambulance service goes to the front door.

  2. Barney, sounds like you will do fine there. It's nice to know that your meals will be cooked, and your laundry done.
About pictures. I googled Heritage Assisted Living in Madison, AL. There, you can click on the website. There are some pretty good photos. There IS lots of parking. Looks like a nice place for you to recuperate and have some fun!

    1. The food is normally adequate but I do not pass a chance to eat out.
