Today was the gymnastics Alabama State competition for my grandson. They have some really excellent kids for this level of gymnasts showing off their skills. The target age for this level is eleven years old.
The OFM got there early to get a front row bleacher seat to really enjoy the action out on the floor for the several hours of the contest.
When the awards were handed out a little after noon, my grandson did not win any event. HOWEVER he did place high enough in many events and came in at number five overall for the contest. We were very proud of his finish spot among all the state contestants.
Now it is late and the OFM is wiped out tired so we are headed to snooze land for the night.
#5 in the State Competition?? That's an amazing accomplishment!!

Your grandson and the family have every right to be proud of a fifth place finish for the entire state, your grandson must be very talented.
ReplyDeleteIf your grandson hasn't seen him before look up "Paul Hunt" he's a gymnast comedian and has a lot of Funny gymnastic videos on YouTube.
