TORTURE CHAMBER FUN

 Madison, Al.

The torture chamber was the site of today's adventure.  It started with a page of SODUKO  squares to figure out. Sure enough the OFM worked hard at for hours and hours it seemed but finally turned it in to be graded. Double surprise, he got it all right!

Then we did more word puzzles and then another something where I made words from a group of letters and put them in a list provided. I made more words than the room allowed for. After about an hour she said I had done well this time.  So maybe the OFM has a few more days to work with now.

The day turned out very nice outside and I got in some outside walking in as well as my usual thirty minutes of aerobic walking inside. So over all it was a good day for being alive.

Some of the folks in this location are getting nervous since we are fairly close to a large military establishment dealing with rockets for one of their chores and the war is getting more serious. I personally have no idea if it makes any difference at all but I am definitely concerned that breakfast is on time in the morning or not.

In the meantime I hope everyone has a nice night and better tomorrrow.

  2. We're a county or two away from McDill AF Base and have SpaceX on the other coast. I figure they will keep me and you safe. I try not to worry too much about something I have no control over, but try to stay informed. Hoping & praying for peace in the world. Have a great day, Barney. Love & hugs to you!

  5. I wouldn't worry to much about that (kind of) military establishment down the road. I was stationed there three times and we weren't much of a threat to anyone but perhaps to ourselves. There was one place in all of Madison County that was off-limits to GI's - just happened to be in Madison, AL. It was a bar called the Chicken Shack and there was a notice on every company bulletin board that we absolutely, positively should not go there. Of course, being new in town, everyone was looking for some action so that was the first place they went. Designating a place as off-limits was the best advertising a bar could get. We never did find out why it was off-limits other than that the band wasn't very good.
