LATEST GUESSING

 MADISON, ALABAMA

11/3/2025

It is time for an update on my condition. It is not good. All the markers for my dementia are out in full force and I am on a normal path for one of the types of dementia to put me down in the next very few years.  For those who it might make a difference, let me guarantee you it is not a wonderful way to quit living. HOWEVER I have a not had average life. So do not cry for me but rather get busy and live your life to make me feel I have done very little.

I moved in to here at HERITAGE on May 30 \2025 thinking why do I need to be here instead of a campground like  Point Mallard. Now I know the answer......I AM SICK.  But there is not time to cry over it all.  It is time to use every moment for living and laugh at the grim reaper as he trips on the rocks I leave on the path for him. he he he. So there is the future for me.

Next month I finally get a few moments of a doctors' time to see my future situation. It will be interesting to see what is coming at me in the next couple of years.

As far as here and now, I cannot safely drive anymore. My response times are way too slow for normal traffic and I do not want to cause anybody else injury. So I stumble along as best I can. Friends and family have been wonderful in accommodating me with my needs. Sorry I cannot bring you great adventures and exciting events any more but I am still trying to set up to show the world my ofm colorings.

So everyone get busy trying to have tooooo much fun. I AM.

  2. I only started reading your blog recently and I come away with a smile every time. You seem to enjoy life no matter what it throws at you. I've known several relatives that have had a dementia diagnosis and some turn bitter and mean and others are like you. Keep posting updates as you are a inspiration.

  3. Being that your Blog was one of the first I started reading. We took your message "Don't wait, do it now", helped get the message about having tooooo much fun across. Though we had to temporarily stop our own adventures due to health issues, we hope to get back on the road soon.
Stay Safe and Enjoy doing your artwork.

    It's about time.
