Adventure Location: Rockport, Texas
As of this moment the plan is to be here through
January. Short trips nearby may be taken
as the weather allows. Another of the
winter Texans arrived today. They are
coming in early this year. The out of
state license plates in the parking lots is a lot earlier this year. Usually
the influx is starting after Thanksgiving and gets really going immediately
after Christmas.
The day was devoted to grocery shopping, working down the
TO DO list (four of eight items were completed), changing my fishing gear back to saltwater and vacuuming the inside
of the Castle. There was not a lot done toward the goal of trying to have
tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
I used to camp on the beach at Mustang Island, I would fly down from San Antonio and land at the strip across the road. Then carry my things to the beach and enjoy the Sea Gulls and waves and a few beers. After a good nights sleep, I would walk the beach again and then repack the plane and fly home. I have many fond memories of that area. Thanks for visiting and taking pics, it has brought back many fun times I had there.
ReplyDeleteGrocery shopping is my agenda tomorrow. Today was just chilling and not getting into a car.
Your Winter Texans sound a bit like our summer Zonies who flock to San Diego when it gets over 110 degrees in Phoenix.
