Teams Location: Rockport, Texas
The storms of last night and the tides of today have
coordinated some minor flooding in the area. The Exploring Team headed out to
find out where we can direct the Fishing Team.
One of the places checked out is the kayak launch at the Community Park
in Aransas Pass.
The water was high but the launch point is serviceable for
yak launching. The Truck was parked next to this very nice trailer for kayaks.
My path went around the front of the rig and over to the launch point. Everything looked good there so we wandered
back to the Truck by a different route.
OH MY Look at what is left out on the fender of the nice trailer.
The yakker who left the tackle box on the fender probably
did not like what he noticed when he had paddled all the way out to the fishing
area. A less obvious spot to sit the
tackle box was not found so the box was left right where it was found. Maybe it
was still there when the yakker returned from fishing.
Late in the evening a trip back out to a chosen area was
made to check if the flooding had gone down any. Nope, the water had actually risen a few
inches more. Now it was flooding up onto
the normally dry land. This white bird
was taking advantage of the newly flooded area to enhance its diet.
Naturally since the Fishing Team was there and water with
fish in it was there, fishing had to be done.
The silver spoon arced into the air many times and came back unmolested
every time. A nice picture of the
evening was taken.
AHH. A cooling breeze, good scenery and a fishing rod in
my hand makes a nice effort toward trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
I a sure glad that you can always find a way to have toooooo much fun. As you know, you don't need fish for good fishing.
ReplyDeleteThat picture with the white bird is beautiful. You sure seem to enjoy life fish or no fish. Too bad about the tackle box hope he was able to have to much fun with out it. I feel sure you would have made the best of it had it been you.
