Wierd Piles

Comfort Castle Location: Rockport, Texas
Adventure Location: LHL, Texas

A little after noon the temperature was almost decent again.

A severe need of some exercise drove the Team over to the stretch of territory between Port Aransas and City of Aransas Pass along highway 361. After parking the Truck at the Light House Lakes parking lot, it was out the door for a good wandering. There is actually nothing strenuous around here other than the soft sand at the beach for aerobic walking. The water was way out and the first part of the walk was on sand that normally has about three feet of water over it.

In this next picture the truck front wheel would normally be in at least nine inch deep water. But not today!

As my walk meandered along the shore line a funny small trail about a foot long was noticed. Some critter had apparently been out for a stroll. There is no knowledge in my head about what it could have been.

That was the only one like that seen today. The next picture shows a weird pile. The pile was about an inch high and three inches in diameter. This scene was repeated fairly often along this stretch of shore line. It sort of looks like a sand covered worm of some sort.

Went the road was returned to, the walking Team followed the old road bed all the way down to Crabman’s Marina and them back to the patiently waiting Truck. This made for around two miles of slow walking that took an hour. The day was beautiful and the breeze was brisk but nice.

The evening was spent trying to figure where to go and when to go elsewhere to fulfill the Team’s goal of trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.

  2. In several recent blogs I've complained that I don't always get pictures on other folks' blogs. I didn't see a one of yours today - usually one or more will show up - and I'm wondering if it's my computer, the size of the photos, or what. This happens to me with others' blogs as well, not just yours.

  3. Gypsy, The pics on this blog are almost always way less than 100k. Most are in the 40k range so even ancient computers can view them. Something is wrong on your end I believe. There are at least five readers of us in a group that let each other know if there is a problem showing up on their blog.
