Early Morning Report

WOW What a surprise!!!!!! The old fat body rolled out of bed this morning with the only a hint of soreness from moving the patio stones was in my rebuilt shoulder. My premonitions last night were for a couple of days of ibuprofen and soreness. Now if this dad gum blizzard would just forget to hit down here. Heard from my Sis up near Dallas, TX and they have had ice since 3 am this morning and falling temps. Yuck. Maybe a sunny beach is somewhere around here.

Later Edition

What else is there to do when the forecast is looking like this?

Of course you use one of your Christmas presents to make a big pot of soup and heat the Castle at the same time. Sis sends me some really great “food in a jar” mixtures as Christmas presents. They come in perfect for this time of the year.

A $45 trip to the grocery store was made earlier. The temps, at nine this morning, were in the upper forties, but the wind was working really hard at undressing you as you walked into the store. It might be a good time to hit the library for some study material for the next three days before it is time to go swimming at the beach again.

Final and Evening Edition

Here is the end of a day of hibernation to stay out of the cold miserable ice knife wind. The last couple of hours of daylight were spent supervising the fireplace in the office. It was beautiful sunshine almost all day. But step out the door and the low forties wet cold would shrivel your innards to smaller than an English pea. The great news is that we are one day closer to the seventy degrees and sunshine days that enhance trying to have too much fun. TheOFM.

  1. My RV has an "acrtic pack" and came in handy when I was in Gallup, NM one early Spring day when it got down to 17 degrees. It didn't keep the water supply from freezing, but kept all the RV's plumbing and tanks warm and cozy.

Thought that your wheels would be tuning and heading further south for a few days?
