It is amazing how not getting awakened several times a night produces much better sleep. There were no loud trucks or vehicle with loud exhausts at any tine during the night. My sleep was different than the last three weeks camped next to a major road. This had a wonderful feeling.
After a lazy breakfast spent figuring out the grocery list, it was time for another cup of tea. The grocery shopping trip was gentle and rewarding. Rockport is much more comfortable to live in than Corpus. All the desired items were in stock and cheaper than over in Corpus. Diesel was 11 cents a gallon cheaper.
The folks at the stores even seem friendlier. This is my second Christmas to be in this area. The first one was bright sun and warm. It would be nice if this one is the same. Today was supposed to be rain and nasty. Somewhere in the middle of the day the temperature went down noticeably. Later it was warm enough for just a tee shirt. Then this evening it was cooler again. Still there was only a little sprinkle a few times.
Another chore today was laundry. It was getting close to desperate time around here. Usually it only takes two loads to get the job done. Today was four loads. That is a record for me. It is not good to let things pile up like that.
Over in OFM Details is a new entry on my expenditures of this nomad lifestyle. It will be updated roughly every month. If you want extensive details you will have to go to Tioga George or Howard Payne’s blog to get details all split out. My accounting is in monthly totals only.
One other trip was to the local library. From that wonderful establishment a good book on pastel painting came home with me. It was nice to have while sitting waiting on laundry to finish.
So with a pleasant day and cool weather, my life is going great in the attempt to try to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM
