It is all about mosquitoes today. Apparently there was a large hatch last night. Leaving the Castle to head over to the dumpster was a miserable event. Heavy fighting all the way there and back was needed.
The owner of the campground was out early in response to the invasion. He got his fogger going and did a great job of covering the campground. The lessening of the invasion was immediate.
In the evening a fishing trip to the boat ramp at Copano Bay proved to be an experience. Man did I get lucky. When the Truck pulled into the parking lot next to the salt grass, a large contingent of mosquitoes hit the Truck. I got lucky the doors were still locked. Even though the mosquitoes grabbed the door handles and tried to open the doors, it was safe inside.
Next some more mosquitoes joined the attack and grabbed the Truck rocking it back and forth. The Truck was started and backed out of the parking spot with difficulty. As we rolled forward, the fuel pedal had to be pushed harder than normal to overcome the mosquitoes pulling back on the bumper. But the Duramax diesel was too much for them and we got away for another day at trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
This was a great post, must have been bad. Made me laugh.
